Surfers Paradise

Kilometres of golden sand. Rolling surf. And all the amenities of a holiday destination right nearby. For many, this really is paradise. Despite the name, most visitors aren’t here to surf, but relax, eat and have fun. There’s plenty of patrolled areas on the beach, so just remember to stay between the flags when going for a dip.

There’s afternoon markets 3 days a week on the beachfront esplanade. And plenty of pubs, clubs, bars and live music for those in search of nightlife. For some spectacular views, head to the top of Australia’s tallest building, Q1, just a short walk away. For something slightly more quirky or fun, maybe try out indoor skydiving, Ripleys Believe it or Not, wax museums and putt-putt golf.
